Atlantic Tech CEO Peter Kazan Enters the Equipment Market with the Launch of Wyco Builders

Peter Kazan, founder and chief executive of the data intelligence firm Atlantic Tech LLC, today announced the launch of Wyco Builders, a heavy equipment rental company operating from a yard in Cheyenne and serving job sites throughout Wyoming and Colorado.

The company opens with a fleet deliberately built to cross industry lines rather than serve residential contractors alone. Categories include excavators from one to twenty-two tons, backhoe loaders, wheel loaders, dozers and motor graders, skid steers and compact track loaders, telehandlers and rough-terrain forklifts, scissor and boom lifts, compaction and trenching equipment, concrete and masonry tools, and towable generators, light towers and heaters. Wyco Builders also rents trucks: dump trucks, water trucks, flatbeds, service trucks, and equipment trailers, giving customers the machine and the means to move it on a single ticket.

Wyco Builders is positioned to serve six sectors from one yard: construction, land development, mining, demolition, manufacturing, and transportation and logistics.

"Most people hear 'equipment yard' and think construction. That is too narrow," said Kazan. "A mine, a demolition contractor, a manufacturer moving pallets across a yard, and a freight terminal all need the same machines, just on different days and for different reasons. We built the fleet for all of them instead of picking one and hoping."

Kazan said the decision followed a period of sustained industrial and infrastructure activity across both states, and a read of the market that he describes as unambiguous.

"I have spent my career building businesses around data, and the data on this corridor is not subtle," Kazan said. "There is more work here than there is iron to do it with. Crews lose days waiting on machines that should have been on site by seven in the morning. That is a solvable problem, and it is worth solving."

The launch also gives operators a practical alternative to tying up capital in machines they need for only part of the year. Renting also moves the costs of maintenance, storage, transport and idle time from the customer to the yard.

"A machine that sits in a lot three weeks out of four is money that could be working somewhere else," Kazan said. "Renting lets a business match the equipment to the job in front of it and treat the cost as an operating expense."

Operationally, the company delivers along the Interstate 25 corridor, putting Fort Collins, Greeley, Longmont, Denver, Laramie and Casper within reach of the Cheyenne yard. Every rental includes delivery, a serviced and inspected machine, a full fuel tank, and in-field breakdown support. Day, week and four-week rates are quoted in writing, with freight, fuel and protection costs stated before the machine leaves the yard.

"The rental industry has trained people to expect a surprise on the invoice," Kazan said. "We quote the number, and the number is what you pay. A contractor bidding work needs a figure he can commit to in front of a client, not an estimate with a footnote."

Wyco Builders represents Kazan's first venture into industrial operations. He remains founder and chief executive of Atlantic Tech LLC.

The company is accepting rental requests and opening contractor accounts now, with quotes returned the same business day.
